Let’s dive in.

Mizuno M.Craft OMOI Putter Technology

CNC milled and forged out of 1025 carbon steel, the Mizuno M.Craft OMOI stays true to the brand’s famous tagline “Nothing Feels like a Mizuno.” Golfers known what to expect when using any Mizuno Golf club and these putters are no exception.

The main focus of this putter series is head weight. Mizuno moved most of the overall club weight to the head, offering a somewhat heavier-feeling putter throughout the stroke. To fine-tune this feel, each OMOI putter ships with a weight kit you can use to swap out 3g, 8g, or 13g weights on the heel or toe. You can also mix-and-match weights, allowing you to dial-in the exact feel and putter face movement you prefer.

Mizuno balances out the overall feel of the putter thanks to a lighter grip and shaft build, promoting a feel in your hands that you’ve got complete control over your putter stroke. Each putter is equipped with a black Lamkin OMOI Sink Fit Pistol grip to further enhance control and feel.

Feel and Performance

For the purpose of this review, we tried out the #1 model in the Mizuno blue finish. At address the putter featured a compact heel-to-toe length with a classic blade design. The tiered back of the blade and aligned aid framed the ball nicely while the contrast of the black KBS Tour shaft eliminated any visual distractions.

The OMOI putter came equipped with the 8g weights already installed, which felt perfect right out of the box. Changing the weights was quick and easy with the included weight kit and wrench, allowing for complete customization of feel. The putter face opened and closed as expected during the stroke and could be fine-tuned further based on weight placement.

Where the OMOI putter excels is at impact, just as you would expect from a Mizuno golf club. Each putt rolled true off a soft, muted impact sensation and sound. Putts slightly off-center saw no noticeable change in feel, accuracy or speed, which is a massively important quality.

Of course, the blue finish looked absolutely incredible both indoors and out, and is bound to be a fan favorite.

Overall Impression

The Mizuno M.Craft OMOI putter feels, sounds, and performs like what you’d expect from one of the best club brands in the world. Putters are a very personal and subjective golf club for all players, so it’s important to take the time and attention required to find the feel right for your game. Mizuno makes this incredibly easy with the adjustable weight kit included with every OMOI putter.

Putts rolled true with minimal skid no matter where contact was made on the face. Feel remained consistent as well, which instills confidence in the player no matter the putt length or break. The combination of a heavier clubhead with a lighter grip and shaft is absolutely perfect in terms of feel, leading to a repeatable stroke on every putt.

As expected, Mizuno absolutely nailed this release as the M.Craft OMOI putter is one of the best we’ve ever tried. There’s no doubt you’ll have a similar experience putting with one.
