The TimberTouch Putterworks Woodrich Regal putter is quite simply a premium showcase of American craftsmanship for golfers everywhere. Featuring ultra-high MOI weighting for forgiveness on off-center putts, a milled face pattern for superior feel and an overall look that will blow you away, these putters are as much a work of art as they are short game weapons.

Wooden putters are not a new trend. Anyone who has strolled through a major golf equipment trade show has likely seen vendors featuring high-gloss, multi-material wooden putters that serve more as conversation pieces than actual on-course specialty clubs. TimberTouch Putterworks legitimately wants you to play your best golf and makes each of their putters specifically for that purpose.
Each of the brand’s putters are self-described as “pro-grade instruments.” After my first look at the Woodrich Regal putter, I would be hard-pressed to disagree.
Through the use of extreme outer weighting and light center structure and vibration isolating foam, TimberTouch has achieved the widest sweet spot and highest MOI available for a putter of its kind. Putts struck off-center still roll out the same distance as they would otherwise, complemented by a truly unique sound at impact that only wood can exude. It sounds more like a soft crack of a wooden baseball bat that will resonate — in every sense of the word — with a wide range of golfers.
High MOI putters are gaining in popularity as golfers realize that forgiveness on the greens is as important as off the tee, and TimberTouch has perfected it. Ample resistance to twisting just before impact allows for the putter face to remain square throughout your stroke, which the Woodrich Regal offers nicely.
Each putter can be customized to your loft, lie angle, and length, resulting in true rolls off its milled face right away. I noticed a pure, non-skid roll from my review putter, allowing for putts to roll out nicely without any loss of distance or inconsistency. Everything about the craftsmanship of the Woodrich Regal — and all of TimberTouch’s putters, for that matter — cannot be overstated. These putters are gorgeous, allowing golfers a safe space to try something new and off the same-old-same-old path offered by competing brands.
Some of you might question a putter made of wood, and that’s understandable. TimberTouch Putterworks is by far the best I’ve seen in this category and it isn’t particularly close. Aside from the unique impact sound mentioned above, the Woodrich Regal feels exactly like a tradition mallet hybrid. The adjustment curve to learning this truly excellent putter is nothing compared to the enjoyment you’ll experience trying something new.
